



S4 Lights faced revenue leakage due to Shopify rounding prices down on the cart, checkout, and receipts. Products with prices like 16.54 or 23.79 were automatically rounded down, causing silent per-item losses that scaled with volume.
Thousands of SKUs and regular order volume meant consistent revenue loss. The goal was to stop this leakage without altering Shopify core behavior or manually editing the catalog.
Implemented a JavaScript-based price normalization logic that rounds prices up instead of down, e.g., 16.54 → 16.55. This logic is applied across:

The S4 Lights Shopify rebuild (OS 2.0) included new visuals and a multi-catalog setup for retail, wholesale, and B2B. The key challenge was Shopify’s rounding behavior from NetSuite decimal prices, which we solved with a price-normalization layer, keeping pricing logic, catalog, and ERP sync clean and maintainable.
